isn't as easily "straightforward." It was so hairy that, finally, the "gods" said "OK, fine, the kids have finally overdrawn their checking account and max'ed out their credit cards so we're just going to have to fix it all for them or they're going to end up in jail. There is a reason why The War of the Ring is a typical subject material for games/mods though - It's pretty straightforward. Set up the main players, throw in notable "city states" and the like, put some "Events" in there. :)īUT, making a "Bannerlord Adaption" for that could be interesting. It was a time of continuous struggle marked by long periods of Elves doing stoopid things.

Wars were a sort of ebb and flow of power and weren't really decisive even though the battles were. Each are marked by the major players at the time, the major cities, and especially "heroes" and the like that Tolkien wanted to cover. There are so many "eras" in it for what's going on in Middle Earth. The First Age is kind of difficult to do in some sort of epic scale.
MOUNT AND BLADE LORD OF THE RINGS MODS
(Dunno what mods could try to work out there, though.) ie: No giant eruptions of lava/fire all over the place, sad to say. We won't get any triggered weather effects and the like, though. That doesn't mean that with Bannerlord's ability for all sorts of rigging freedom we can't have all those cool beasties, though. "not really." :) The Third Age has been more suitable for Warband and what's currently available. In the Third age, just about every major battle was with roughly humanoid combatants.īasically. the real major battles in the First Age were truly epic affairs, often with fantastical beasties and godlike beings as major players and, in some cases, massive environmental effects. It covers each of the character's health hearts in mithril, effectively doubling their health.Originally posted by Esce:I hope for a first age mod, the wars around the Silmarils fit better into the M&B concept than the ring war in my opinion.īut.

Bad guys will ignore them while the usually-harmless residents of Middle-Earth will attack them on sight.
